Welcome to Sharon's Shanghai Bund photos

The Shanghai Bund is the area on the west side of the river that the British settled about 200 years ago. The east side is the "new" PuDong area. PuDong means east of river. This side is all very tall buildings and neon lights, one with a 200x300 foot TV screen at night.

The rock work on the Bund was amazing

Bicycles everywhere!

Neon ads and walls as computer screens

Color!

China's tallest building, a TV station and tower

Flowers anyone?

All of the buildings are lit at night

Just another place for an ad

Brand new condos with International flags

I loved the curved walls of this building

Newer building on the Bund

White block and street ads everywhere

Even round block buildings

The Shangai Acrobats Center (arched roof) and... smog.
The tall building behind it is the tallest hotel in China, 88 floors.
