Tiennamen Square is the largest gathering square in the world, it can hold over 20,000 people.
On one side is
the Chinese History Museum, Mao's Tomb, The great meeting hall that holds 10,000 people,
and the Gate of Heaven
leading to the Forbidden city.
Most people remember the square as the site of student demonstrations, with the famous young man in front of the tank.
