This photo shows the joy every housebuilder goes thru: sawhorses, boards, saws, nails everywhere. Joe and Tia work on the front room addition here.
When the front and bath are sided and finished, this is what it looks like with first snow. Still some boards about...
Here is what the upstairs looks like finished. This is looking towards the river. The cat is on the bed, there are book shelves on one side and closet on the other side.
This is the FOCUS of the house, to ME. Joe does not agree, but... This is a 6 foot whirlpool bathtub. I can lay down in it. The window opens to a gorgeous view of the back of the property. The bath is 8'6" by 12ft, large enough to "enjoy" !!
Here is the kitchen, almost finished. The table saw, chop saw and planer lived here for a long time. We cut all our own moldings and finish boards from 2x4's and then ripped and planed them. Great grains and cheap!! Some of the orchids in the greenhouse window.
Our flower garden did very well last year. The veggies got killed on Sept 27, 1999 in a HARD freeze. The garage/shed is built, dahlias and other things blooming, chickens cooping in the coop. Life is good!
