These pictures were sent by a friend who Wintered over, 1995-1996. This means he got there in September of 1995 and left in September of 1996. Is this boy crazy, or WHAT? Anyway, he was kind enough to send these to me.

South Pole sign
This photo is a "road sign" at the South Pole

This is how you get around in Antarctica. Not exactly a Harley, but it sure gets you there faster and dryer!

South Pole Door
This is the "front door" to the main building at the pole. You can see how the snow has amassed over the years, almost covering the building.
